Aidenzilla or An Alphabet Learning Activity

I am always trying to find, or come up with learning activities to do with Aiden.  He is a very active boy, and learns much faster when he is physically doing something.

I wanted to come up with some learning activities that included dinosaurs, our theme this week.  I made Aiden a pair of dinosaur shoes out of foam sheets.  IMG_1604

To do this, I cut four pieces of foam in the shape of a dinosaur footprint, cut circles big enough for Aiden to slip his foot in, and used a black sharpie to color the toenails.  To put the pieces together I hot glued around the edges.

Aiden absolutely LOVED the dinosaur shoes!

Here he is looking fierce, like a dinosaur should!

Now on to the activity.  I set up some of his wooden blocks in towers, and put a sticky note, with a letter of the alphabet, on each tower.   As I called out a letter, Aiden would find it and knock over the blocks.

Aiden played this game for over 20 minutes,
